Top 5 reasons why the Game Cards didn't reach the statistician:

5) The coach forgot to give the envelop to the ref, so he/she waited until the next game to send them in together.

4) The referee left them in his pocket, and the spouse washed his shorts.

3) The referee decided to save the game cards for the week and sent them in on the weekend

2) The postal services left them in the back room for awhile just to prevent the scores from being entered in a timely manner.

1) Forgot to mail the cards and found them in his/her "coat pocket" "referee bag" "trunk" weeks......later.....

Top 7 reasons why the Statistics are incorrect:

7) The referee left them in his pocket, and the spouse washed the game cards with his shorts.

6) The statistician's eye were going buggy at midnight when she was trying to enter the scores in.

5) The referee did not enter the scores on the game cards (and the statistician had to count the score marks).

4) The winner and loser were marked by color  instead of using the team numbers.

3) The scores were marked correct on one card and in reverse on the other card.

2) The coach placed the wrong team number or no team number on the game card

1) The game card markings were illegible
